Life on the Deckle Edge

Good Cheer

May Greetings!

I didn't mean to be so long between posts, but it's been a crazy spring. My daughter is graduating from high school, so we've been celebrating her, and a month ago I tore my Achilles tendon, so I've been sidelined. At least I've had time to read and write during this beginning part of my recuperation.

I've especially enjoyed some letters, stories, and art from students this spring. I've just posted a couple of pictures from talented second graders on my "Student Gallery" page, and I hope to add some fourth grade work there soon. What a blessing it's been to appreciate these creative works while I've had to sit on the couch with my leg on an ice pack! It's been the perfect medicine.

Of course I've missed Juno and Luna at the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve. My daughter took me to say hello to them, but only through the fence while I'm hobbling around in a big black boot. I look forward to working with them again - after my tendon heals!

Wishing you a frolicsome rest of spring, without injuries.
