While I'm sorry that your plans for finishing the move have been disrupted by Winter Storm Pax (and not very peacefully at that) it does your kilt-wearin' haggis-eatin' brother's heart good to read Robbie Burns - only a wee dram o' single malt could make it better!

A couple of years back I had uncovered our grill and found a wee mousie had built her a nest in the side burner, and just this week Rocko was barking on the deck and Scott saw the grill cover moving and uncovered it and aha! a fruit rat (not as cute as the wee mousie) was shredding the inside of the grill cover to build himself a nest underneath!

Ah the best laid plans...love ya Sis!

Too much discomfort plus unexpected snow but is there ever a long-distance move that isn't also long in the mix-ups... Love this Burns, which my mother recited, one of the many poems she & her sisters would challenge each other at Holidays, to recite. They had learned them in high school elocution or declamation classes. Thank for the memory! And in two months, you will be cozy in time for a petal profusion of Spring.

Many thanks to all of you for stopping by and wishing us well! I am exhausted but happily buried in boxes in Beaufort, where there is no snow or ice in sight.
